At 9:15-10:15 on May 7th, Lisa Sohni of Maple Alley Inn will give us an
update on their work of providing meals for community members who are
experiencing hunger. BUF has supported the project since its inception in
1987. Community garden volunteers grow many of the vegetables, while
kitchen volunteers prepare and serve hot, home-cooked nutritious meals on
Wednesdays and Thursdays. Because the demand in the community has
increased steadily over the last few years, the kitchen is no longer adequate
to keep up with demand. The Kitchen Improvement Campaign hopes to raise funds
to replace appliances with upgraded commercial appliances. Join us in the Conference Room for the forum.
